about 2 min after bob so kindly changed danny’s diaper, he handed Danny off to me for the ‘right before bed’ feeding. and as Danny hit my arms he thought it funny to poop again. thanks Danny. for that I squirt him in the face with his 10th dinner. seriously it was on accident and I seriously laughed my ass off. for that Danny pooped again. OH! IT’S ON!
an epic amount of spit up
That darling little fella I spent 31 hours working on getting out of my body spend much of the weekend a fuss bucket. Don’t get me wrong, he slept, a lot, but his feedings were so off it put me in tears. He wouldn’t latch and he’d scream at the site of my boob. Now there’s a self-esteem boost. He did take in some milk and he pooped! He pooped so much he went through 3 onesies. By 11 we were all settled for bed. Danny was in his darling pooh sleep sack and had 1 feeding left in the day. He fussed through it and was ready for a burp when it happened. Spit up EVERYWHERE. The poor kid must have spit up everything he ingested from 8pm on. Bob was a bit in shock and it took him a moment to understand what ‘please get me a towel’ meant. Danny’s outfit was demolished. My jams were covered in white. I’m washing sheets again.
He seems to be eating better today and on more of a schedule. I just hope that since I typed that he doesn’t revert to mr. super fussybutt in the next 10 min. At the moment, he’s snuggled up in his swing sporting a darling pooh outfit with socks (bob will be giddy over that), while wrapped up in his snuggly birdy blanket his auntie erica gave him. It’s taking all my energy to not go snatch him out and snuggle up with him this very second. If I do that bob’s 18,000 christmas presents will never get wrapped.

so, bob is holding danny in his lap and danny is looking up at bob and danny looks at bob and says HI. He then gave bob the people’s eyebrow and we about died laughing.

Danny had his first dr apt yesterday and he did great! He was even called handsome + perfect. And get this! He already grew and inch! Next, my little snuggle bug is going to leave for college and break my heart.
While at the dr I learned that I can point his little danny down so he stops peeing up ALL his clothes. You have no idea how excited I was to learn of this revelation. He’s been dry ever since!

If tomorrow wasn’t going to hectic enough with dannys first dr visit in the frozen tundra, Danny thought it would be super fun for me to add in 3 loads of laundry.
1. His from the past 3 days.
2. Sheets that he just spit up all over. Sheets that Bob just washed and put back on the bed. (bob. Pretty please. Put them on again. It was like being in a hotel)
3. The duvet cover. UGH! It’s quite the bitch to get that cover on and off. (bob. I’ll do duvet if u do question above. Pretty pahlease)
If only he’d fall back asleep….
Also. Tonight Danny “watched” his first movie! Drag Me To Hell. Hey, we have to start his horror movie desires out young. Right??!!

My beautiful, perfect, amazing, best thing that ever happened to bob and I, certainly not an ugly baby…just peed on me…at 1:30 am.

Danny has finally arrived! He was overly perfect from the moment he popped out. And when I have a little time and feel a bit more kelly-like, I’ll write a ton more…on how much we are in love with this little guy, on how my labor was pure hell and my delivery was absolute bliss and I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat, and on how my life has meaning now. I feel whole. I have my 2 boys and could not be happier with our lil family.

Have you ever seen the movie Groundhog Day with Bill Murray? enough said.
Last night the contractions were very consistent and just under 6 min apart. I ate spicy for dinner and rested up with bob, a movie, and what was left of our evening. I followed that up with a solid nights sleep. Boy did that feel good. There was even a solid ‘it’s a girl’ dream tucked in there as well.
I’m going to walk my ass off today. Except I’ll be heading to the mall! oooh ahhh!!
We also have a dr. apt this evening. We’ll see what they have to say about this drawn out early labor business.

update. I just spent the last 3.5 hours walking up and down the aisles of almost every box store in the neighborhood. I’m tired and swollen.
First I hit up kohls who has mad sales today. So I shopped too! and bob surprised me and showed up there to walk with me and made my entire day happy!
Then office depot and bed, bath & beyond. Then lunch with mom. Then sports authority, petsmart, jc penny, and lowes. I skipped on target because I’ve been there the past few days. I’m targeted out.
At the moment my hands are so swollen they hurt…from all the walking. Super doula gave me permission to rest up for a bit and walk some more after a nutritious dinner. So that’s the plan. I added some jello and water to the plan as well. Delicious!
hopefully we’ll be able to walk the mall tonight and get some xmas shopping done too! double stuffing!
